I noticed your ad for Footnote.com and then read about Family Tree Maker. I don't know if you are aware that uploading and creating Family Histories online is available for free through Footnote.com.
Not only is available for free but all of the storage is on our servers not your computer. Your family can also have free access to view, create, share and download personal history with you.
On top of that you can annotate and thus index your contributions to make them search able on the web. I did a story about my dad which has had over 24,000 views. When you type in Willis H Bell on Google or Yahoo the first reference to pop up is this Footnote Page.
I only bring this up because it does not cost a thing. If you do decide that you would like to join Footnote for the documents that we have, which then become fully integrated into your already existing account, it is only $67.95 right now for the year. There is no software to install or add to your computer.
